FAQs

Do I need a prescription?

Not to get started. We can see you for up to 10 visits or 30 days without one, but after that you will need one to continue. ** The exception is for no-fault and workers compensation cases. These programs REQUIRE that you have a prescription before we can see you. In these cases you MUST bring the prescription with you on your first visit.

How should I be dressed?

Since Myofascial Release is done directly on the skin, you should bring appropriate clothes so that you can be “comfortably undressed”. For example, loose fitting shorts (no jeans or cut-offs), tank top, sports bra/underwear, or a two piece bathing suit are all appropriate. We can supply shorts or a gown if you forget or don’t have something available. Myofascial Release is a whole body approach to treatment. Therefore, please bring/wear appropriate clothing regardless of your diagnosis.

What is the cancellation policy?

Since we set aside your appointment time especially for you, we request that you provide us with 24 hours notice to change or cancel your appointment. If less than 24 hours notice is given, or if you no-show for your appointment, we reserve the right to charge up to the full amount of the visit.

What if I get there late for my appointment?

We reserve a specific time in the schedule just for you. This is done so that you do not have to sit around and wait when you arrive at the office. If you are running late, your treatment time will be shortened as there are other patients scheduled immediately following your appointment. If you are running late, we suggest calling us to let us know. We will do what we can to accommodate you. We recommend that you get to the office a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will give you time to use the bathroom, change, get settled, schedule appointments, or take care of other administrative matters.

Will you communicate with my doctor?

Absolutely! If you provide us with your doctor’s information, we will send a copy of our initial evaluation and progress updates as necessary. We can also assist you with getting a prescription.

What should I feel after a treatment session?

Often treatments are very relaxing. Occasionally, some people may experience mild muscle soreness after treatment. This is also a normal treatment response and nothing to be concerned about. Communicate with your therapist. It is how we tailor your treatment program just for you. Also, increase your water intake! This will flush your system and help any soreness to resolve more quickly.

How often and how long do I need to come to therapy?

Each person is unique in their healing process. Some factors that may influence how quickly you see changes are: how long the condition has been present, how often you attend therapy, and how diligent you are about doing the things we give you for a home program. In the beginning, we recommend being seen more frequently so that we can get you feeling better and teach you things that you can do to help yourself. Some people start to feel better right away, and most people will see positive changes by the 6th visit, if not sooner. Once things are moving along in the right direction, then we can space your appointments further apart. We will customize a program to meet your individual needs.

Do you accept my insurance?

Complete Care Physical Therapy, PLLC accepts both No-Fault and Worker’s Compensation.

If you have other insurance coverage, we will work with you to help maximize your reimbursement as we are generally considered an “out of network” provider. You may be able to find out what your “out of network” benefits are in advance by contacting your insurance company. We will provide you with a completed claim form that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. We accept checks, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover), or cash for payment.

If you have additional questions regarding specific insurance issues, please call our office.

What is the charge for the initial evaluation and for treatment?

The initial evaluation is an extended appointment. This allows sufficient time for a thorough evaluation, answering questions, and getting started with treatment all in the first visit. The charge for the evaluation is $280. Subsequent treatment sessions are about an hour and are $140/hour. 30 minute treatment sessions may be available upon request and are $75.
